While most people didn’t get to see the recent supermoon at its most spectacular, whether due to light pollution, cloudy skies or just snoozing away, some got to see incredible views like this one pictured above, taken in Glacier National Park, Montana. Can you imagine witnessing this rare and beautiful scene?

If you don’t want to miss it next time, you may need to mark it on your calendar so you don’t forget – the combination of a supermoon and total lunar eclipse last occurred in 1982 and will not happen again until 2033. It is truly a rare event.
