If you are married and in your twenties or thirties you likely feel the pressure to have babies from parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and sometimes even complete strangers. It seems like an endless daunting question: when are you going to start having babies? People are doing everything later these days, from getting married to having babies, but that doesn’t mean parents are getting any more patient.
Young Australian couple Abby Lee and Matt Kay are no different than any other couple their age, the pressure to have children has been thrown at them full force. The two may not be ready for a baby but they were ready for a puppy. When they adopted their new family member they decided to have an epic photoshoot to celebrate.
Meet their newest family member, his name is Humphry and he’s a cross between a golden retriever and a poodle, otherwise known as a Groodle or a Goldendoodle. Sure, the newborn puppy photoshoot wasn’t exactly what the couple’s parents were expecting, but who could be disappointed after seeing something this precious?
The idea came from the couple’s friend and photographer Elisha Minette, who was struck with the funny yet adorable idea as the couple made the long drive home from the breeder with Humphry in tow.
Minette told Buzzfeed, “We did this shoot just for a little bit of humour between ourselves, as well as for those that share the same sense of humour as us. Everything went so smoothly. The pup was enjoying every second of it. I think everyone will be seeing a lot more of Humphry in the future!”
The photoshoot was very lighthearted and the perfect parody of photoshoots parents regularly do with their newborn babies. Humphry the four-legged, hairy newborn is just as cute as any human baby… some may argue he’s even cuter!
