Coming up with a creative engagement photoshoot is no easy feat; trust me I’m in the process of trying to come up with one myself. One couple from Illinois came up with the best idea to match with their own love story.
In the 1961 Disney classic 101 Dalmatians Anita and Roger meet while out walking their dogs in the park. Real-life couple Tony Collier and Corinne Jones decided to recreate this adorably sweet scene for their engagement photoshoot.
The couple met in 2009 while both attending the University of Illinois. Corinne was initially drawn to the idea because she is “the biggest 101 Dalmatians fan.” But wait, it gets even better… Tony and Corinne both worked at Walt Disney World.
For a fun and unique twist the couple incorporated their own dogs, Mookie and Izabella, into the shoot in place of the famous Dalmatians Pongo and Perdita.
Corinne decided to ask her cousin/photographer to help her recreate the popular scene for her engagement photos and she was happy to oblige. They left no detail untouched; the couple dressed the part all the way down to the blue and red dog leashes. The couple wasn’t afraid to get a little messy during the shoot with both of them ending up in a nearby pond, just like in the movie.
The results turned out better than the couple could have ever hoped for. In fact, as soon as the photos were posted online the whole world fell in love with them.
