If you’re the type of person who enjoys creepy, or perhaps even horrifying sights, you might want to consider paying a visit to the world’s creepiest tourist attractions, like the Island of the Dolls. This tiny island in Mexico is home to countless dolls that hang from the trees, melting and blistering under the scorching heat of the sun. Filthy and decaying, most are mangled and missing body parts.

Creepy, because they’re detached and in a jar, but also strangely fascinating. Colloquially known as the Penis Museum, this popular Iceland attraction hosts a collection of more than 200 phallic specimens representing almost every mammal in the country.

This bizarre theater museum seems like it must be out of a scene from a horror movie, but it was actually an operating room used during the 19th century – before antiseptic surgeries and anaesthetics.

Cockroach Hall of Fame

They may call it the “Queen of Quirky,” but it’s definitely more on the creepy side. This weird museum features cockroach corpses in various poses wearing costumes in elaborate sets, like the cockroach in paradise and “Liberoachi,” a piano playing cockroach.
